This past Saturday night, I completed a 3 year commitment. My journey ended with me sitting in the stands of an indoor basketball court with approximately 1,500 people. We were all proud friends and family that were there to celebrate the graduation of the 325 high school students, dressed in their school's colors of purple caps and gowns, seated on the center court below us.

How to hold students attention....

In today's challenging public school environment, teachers may constantly be searching for new innovations to inspire and motivate students to give their best.

Almost 100% of the time teachers go into their profession because they have a passion to be teachers and educate young people. They earned this right to teach our children by spending 4 years or more learning their "subject of choice" to teach.

A teacher is of course an educator, the provider of knowledge. Most teachers have a passion for what they teach...being it Math, English, Science, Sports or the Arts.

3 Year High School Program scores " 0% " Drop-Out Rate!!

Becoming Tomorrow's Leaders, a Houston educational program dedicated to curb the Hispanic drop-out rate, finished it's three year program with outstanding results. Below is a press release about the program.

Univison will be filming a documentary on our classes of "Becoming Tomorrow's Leaders" that we conducted at Davis HS starting in 2007! The documentary will be re-enacted and filmed with us and the students Saturday March 27 at Davis HS and air in Univision's national and international show "Primer Empacto" the first week of April 2010!

Today's Students Need A Creative Approach to Learning.....

In today's super fast technological environment, students need creative methods of teaching to get and maintain their attention.

With high school students being hi-tech savvy, watching TV while text messaging or carrying on a conversation on their cell phones while checking their Face Book page... their minds are now geared to juggling 3 or 4 tasks at the same time! So it's no small wonder that maintaining their attention in the traditional class room setting and methodology is a challenge to both teacher and student in the learning process.
